Secure Computing Institute

The Secure Computing Institute (SCI) at NC State University is a focal point for cybersecurity research and education at the university and the broader Research Triangle Park (RTP) area. Located in the Department of Computer Science, SCI seeks to unite cybersecurity efforts throughout the university, including the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the Department of Business Management, and the Department of Psychology. SCI is co-directed by Dr. William Enck and Dr. Laurie Williams.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Secure Computing Institute (SCI) is to enhance the security and privacy of computing systems for the betterment of society through (1) performing basic and applied research; and (2) advancing and delivering cybersecurity education.
